BBS Manufacturing Company
If you happen to stumble on the tires Mazda Miata in the parking lot or garage, you realize the wheel to see how the money is rolled and the cross of radios? This is probably a ” BBS ” wheels because the wheels still the emblem on the hood of the center, regardless of the wheel or manufacturer. So there you go. I am here to share a little history on this beautiful wheel manufacturer. Well, once upon a time in 1970 in the small town of Schiltach, Germany, were two men: one with the name of Heinrich Baumgartner (no, he did not invent Heineken so we’ll have some crazy idea ) and another called Klaus Brand. They decided on his own production company, so they started making plastic parts for other cars of the time. They could not think of a name, they decided to turn it into an acronym: Baumgartner Schiltach brand. What should I not?
At least for the first two years, kept the production of the frame in plastic, but in 1972, which finally started to design three-wheeler parts, will be used for racing. It was just an idea on paper and had simply decided to do, and proved a major breakthrough in the motorsports world. All this is corny, but I believe that dreams come true! Four years later, the company expanded into France, where he had done so well, and finished third in 1979 Director: Martin Braungart. It’s like the letter “B” is super popular there .. oh well.
And are not perfect, of course, three-piece wheel for the first time he did, in 1983, when he was finally perfect, made for use in moving vehicles in the normal route. This wheel was used as the RS wheel. As you can probably guess, this factory original BBS wheels hit with everyone. It flew off the shelves and just everybody happy, you bought it. Since the company was so good, more stores opened, this time in the great American countries and Japan. There were in 1987, some major movements, where the fire Klaus eventually became part of the board, Heinrich Baumgartner was appointed as President of the Board, Martin was responsible for the technical management of the department and Braungart Bukenberger Klaus was responsible for business operations and sales.
The decade of 1990, finally took place, was a great decade for the BBS. In 1990, BBS was known to be the leading OEM manufacturer of alloy wheels for Audi, BMW, Volkswagen and many other award-winning professional race teams worldwide. Four years later, BBS wheels in Formula One, IndyCar Series, DTM and ADAC has done all these racing teams that won championships with BBS wheels. While celebrating its 25th anniversary in 1995, the wheel was invented RSII, it was easier, had a higher quality, and, finally, to establish a trend in significant innovation. In 1998, BBS wheels had provided twelve IndyCar racing cars! In 1999 took place, to win more customers than DaimerlChrysler BBS wheels, Porsche, Ferrari and Jaguar.
