Owner of the Car to Your Car Last Longer by Getting it Right

I have my new insurance today. It made me smile that I am using the same company, USAA since 1977. They are just wonderful.

Another look at my contract and I realized I had 32 cars since 1977. Meanwhile, I had a stolen car, I have a broken car in reverse in a parking lot, another vehicle pulled wheels, hail and more. I even damaged one of my own car while sitting in the garage. With each incident, I learned something, and I want to share some of my best advice.

Need a car to cover the inside of your vehicle?

I’ve always been a fan of sports car. As a young man I had visions of a bright red Ferrari in the garage. This has never happened, but I wanted a Fiat X/19 2 years old and buy the tail custom work with the body of custom, a beautiful interior with Recaro seats and a Borg Warner K27 turbocharger to exciting things. I painted the car Attract-a-COP in the style of the former Ferrari 512BB red with black above the waist satin.

It was perfect!

Well, that is, it was perfect, until a load of rubbish dropped the box of my head resting on the hood and scratched the hell out of him. I wanted to scream. In fact, I think I cry.

In any case, was that the event, to buy me and you use a car cover inside is required. Since then, my go-almost-all cell phones were car covers and they saved the day more than once. Not even by me or my things. The number one danger for a nice car at home are children and pets.

Instructions to prevent car theft

This is something I wish I had no experience with, but I do. Back in 1987, given by the achievement of my career that I was not a likely candidate for a Ferrari clean, I bought my first Porsche. There was a brand new Porsche 944 Turbo Red Guards. It was an exciting car, and over a period of six years, I owned, I have never been more exciting. I’m sure I put as much or more than the purchase price in performance improvements and accessories. He was like a cat across!

Unfortunately, I did all the hard work and hard earned money to a sudden change of fortune, one morning in November. I stayed in a hotel on site, around the home from San Diego and Irvine, California to avoid, and when I awoke the next morning it was gone!

It’s an uncomfortable feeling that comes over you. At first, your brain says, “I’m sure I parked right here.” Well, you have, and that’s exactly where the thief has taken.

Lesson learned. Lock your car will not stop a thief. A basic alarm system will not stop a thief. It should be a deterrent much greater. Then I installed alarm systems, the car fixed and used mechanical devices that lock the steering wheel, hand brake, or both. There are lists of things you can do, but I found it more effective.

Instructions to prevent damage car

Let’s face it, if your car is out of the garage dangerous. The second of your rubber meets the road as you are thank you other drivers, the sun, environment and much more. Believe me, I know!

I’m not losing my 944 Turbo 1989 Silver Anniversary Edition with a 911. She had no power and handling, I was used, but what a beauty! That is, until a little more in me Creaton – parked, no less – in a shopping mall parking lot. Oh yes, another lesson learned. Be especially where you park.

Some time ago I visited Night Sneak Preview at the Los Angeles Auto Show. I went over the parking garage for an open position in a corner to reduce the risks of these sites on a door ding fifty percent. In addition, I also think that the end corner and spots are a little broader. I found a small spot and parked as much as possible.

Far from the parking lot, blocking and on foot, I had a strange feeling, and the back of my car to move it. A BMW driver confused me was asking me why I moved. I explained that I was not to be taken if a close angle. My point is: think about how people can be themselves and not give them a chance.

Defensive Driving

In 1995, one of my weekly trips to Los Angeles, I stopped by better acquisition of California for my careless use of forward speed. Later, after a brief discussion with the judge a few weeks ago we agreed that a little levity was in order, so I went out driving school comedy. I must admit that it was worth it.

The schoolmaster comedy driving had a whole shtick to avoid speeding “just for the cops.” It was hilarious!

Watch out for cops! This is true for one simple thing, right? Yes, well, if it’s so easy, why you have is your last ticket? It’s really not so easy if you … Practice a lot! Most of us have been taught one way or another, often check on our mirror, but we are lazy and after a while goes straight to the window.

Watch out for cops! It is not so much to avoid citations as it is about attention to what is happening around you. It’s actually quite simple. You see before, behind and look forward to your pages, and do it often. Their mirrors are your friend, to use it.

Most people use their mirrors when changing lanes. If this is the way you use your mirrors, then I fear you are not the decisive point and you are on track to another road and accident insurance. Their mirrors are your number one tool for defensive driving, and save you from the idiots on the road, and the cops. Use them.
